Michael Jackson – A legend
Michael Jackson nick named “Mike” was born a cute African-American guy, who was enormously talented. Though stories dictate his loneliness and sad childhood, Mike grew up surrounded by famous people. Michael Jackson at the age of five years together with his brothers were known as the amazing ‘Jackson 5′. They used to play locally, then in New York and Philly. They were “discovered” by Gladys Knight and pianist Billy Taylor at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. He was a superstar at the age of five and at age of 13 he went solo. His first #1 hit at age of 14 was “Ben” (a touching love song to a rat).
No one ever imagined, he would get addicted to plastic surgery, face accusations of child molestation and end up America’s Most Famous Sideshow?
Michael Jackson was a “wonderful humanitarian” who considered it important to reach out and help others. Michael Jackson was the King of Pop. This was not a title that he gave himself. It was given to him by hiss millions of fans around the world and by his peers, among whom he has no equal. He earned it! No other performer in history has generated the massive sales that he has. No other performer in history has received as many awards and accolades as he has. No other performer in history draws the kind of excitement and mass hysteria that he does. And no other performer in history has done so much in the way of humanitarian efforts than he has. There has never been one like him before, and there will never be one like him again. He was in a class all by himself.
In 1976, the Jacksons left Motown and signed with Epic Records where they continued to crank out one hit after another.
In 1978 Michael ventured into film when he starred opposite Diana Ross in The Wiz, an African-American remake of the Wizard of Oz.
But in 1982, that’s just what Michael did with the release of a monster of an album called ‘Thriller.’ ‘Thriller’ broke all kinds of records.
In 1991, with his next album, ‘Dangerous,’ Michael continued the astronomical sales figures with 23 million copies sold worldwide. With Dangerous came more state of the art videos and another amazing concert tour in1992.
In May of 1997 Michael released ‘Blood On The Dance floor: HWAStory In The Mix.‘
In 2002 Michael became a father again when his third child was born; a son named Prince Michael II, known affectionately as ‘Blanket.’
In 2006 Sony-BMG Europe released 20 of Michael’s greatest hits on the new CD/DVD format.
In January of 2008, as part of the 25th Anniversary celebration, Michael allowed the song “Thriller” be used in an ad campaign for Sobe Life Water.
In the end, the most important thing was to be true to yourself and those you love and work hard. Work like there’s no tomorrow. Train. Strive. Really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree. Be the best at what you do. Get to know more about your field than anybody alive. Use the tools of your trade, if it’s books or a floor to dance on or a body of water to swim in. Whatever it was, it’s yours. That’s what I’ve always tried to remember.” (Michael Jackson)

jesus christ superstar- a bit more in depth explanation?
just saw this amazing DVD!! I was so wowed – i lovedthe singing, dancing and the whole modern frame of reference.
I’m not sure I undertand alot- like what didithis ending mean? when they say Jesus died for our sins, wht were they- acc to the film?
What” planning” was Judas talking about? What was his message- as he tells his followers that they really don’t get it? thank you
i really appreciate it
First, understand that the guys who wrote JCSS were totally high when they wrote it back in the early 70’s. I love the music and played Mary Magdelene in it in college, but never even tried to understand what the writers were trying to say…you’d probably have to be tripping to follow it.
The “Plan” refers to Jesus’s martyrdom… akin to a publicity stunt to spread his words. Everyone loves a martyr. Martyrdom can raise a leader to superstar status and increases their following. Martyrdom makes you famous and makes your teachings be heard, so it actually isn’t a bad plan if you really want to get your message heard.
Judas in the movie realizes he was just being used…his betrayal of Jesus, which ultimately causes his self destruction, is neccesary to get the wheels moving for Jesus’s Martyrdom.
Jesus at the end isn’t too happy about it, but accepts his martyrdom as he believes is being required of him by God.
If this doesn’t make sense, it’s because neither of us is high enough.
